Recovery First

If you are struggling with pain (mental, emotional, physical or fatigue-style pain) then this blog post is for you!

The problem is simple: most of us are too busy pushing through life to hear what our bodies and minds are trying to tell us. The result: we ignore, we silence and we ignore the information stream designed to support and protect us. The result of that: we back ourselves into a corner, we run our batteries until they are almost dead, we damage our health. In short, we lose and we feel terrible.

The solution: sit quietly with yourself for five minutes every single day for 30 days.

During those five minutes, tune in to your body and notice what you are feeling, face it honestly, feel it fully. Then, explore what may be causing it, and what it may be telling you. Choose the action that supports your recovery and make that action your priority. For that hour and that day. Tomorrow, repeat the process.

Do the action.

Repeat this practice every day for one whole month. You may work with the same symptom or move to another one that shows up in your awareness. The idea is not to solve every problem you have at the same time. Notice what changes in your health, energy, relationships and life. Prepare to be surprised.

Recovery First is not a quick fix. It is the daily choice to listen to yourself and act on what you need. And put that first, no matter what else is going on for you.

Five minutes. One recovery-focused action. Every day.

The ultimate result: greater clarity, better choices and a life that begins to feel more manageable. And when you apply the Recovery First method next month a life starts to emerge that feels healthier, more intentional and closer to the best life you can imagine.

Remember: Recovery First EVERY SINGLE day!
