A Season of Growth: What’s New at Body Brilliance

Updated: 7 hours ago

Hello Wonderful Body Brilliance Community,

Sbonga Shange
Sbonga Shange

As we screech toward the end of 2025 at break-neck speed, I wanted to write to you and share a little of what’s been happening behind the scenes. We are working flat-out until 23 December (so you can get those problems you’ve not had time to attend to, sorted before the year is out that you have not had time to attend to), and it’s been a season of change, growth, and genuine excitement for what we can offer you.

1. Team Updates, With Immense Gratitude

At the end of September, we said a very heartfelt farewell to Debbie Benjamin and Inge Magnus. After years of dedicated service and enormous contribution, it was time for both of them to move into new chapters.

They remain part of our Body Brilliance family—just no longer in the day-to-day Johannesburg operations.

  • Inge is still supporting us from St Francis when she can squeeze it in between her many commitments.

  • Debbie has stepped boldly into real estate in White River, and I have no doubt her community will be enriched by her warmth and brilliance.

We also welcomed Sbonga Shange, who has already settled in beautifully. Many of you have experienced his kindness, competence, and enthusiasm. We are grateful to have him with us.

2. Our New Shock-Wave Machine: Effective, Evidence-Based Relief

A big development this season is the arrival of our brand-new shock-wave therapy machine. It’s already earning its keep, helping people with:

  • Tendon and overuse injuries,

  • Plantar fasciitis,

  • Fascial tethering and scar tissue,

  • TMJD

  • Pelvic Problems

  • Certain nerve-related problems.

The evidence for shock-wave therapy is robust, and the results we’re seeing are wonderful (I’ve used it a lot myself!). Because treatments are quick and efficient, we now also offer short sessions for those who are pressed for time. It’s a small input with a big impact, perfect for this time of year when everyone is stretched thin.

3. The Body Brilliance Mind-Body Store: Curated Support for Your Wellbeing

Our Mind-Body Store is officially open, filled with thoughtfully chosen products that support whole-person wellbeing. Every single item is something I personally use, trust, and believe in.

You’ll find essentials; not aisles of options, because we only stock what genuinely makes a difference. Products include items like:

  • Probiotics and prebiotics

  • Creatine and collagen

  • Lubes and devices that support your sexual wellbeing

  • Ergonomic supports and tools to make your workspace work

Everything aligns with my 11 Domains of Wellbeing model, and you’re warmly invited to complete our free 2-minute questionnaire to identify which of your domains may need the most support.

You’re welcome to pop into the practice anytime (right next to Nice on Poplar) to browse or ask questions. No pressure! Just resources here when you need them and advice to help you choose what YOU need.

There’s more happening, of course, but I’ll stop here, because I know this time of year is full to the brim.

As we move through this last stretch of November, I wish you:

  • moments of pause,

  • spaces for self-care,

  • and the wisdom to honour your capacity so that your system stays regulated and supported.

  • You don’t want to go on holiday so exhausted you crash!

Take care of wonderful you.

With love,

Sue
