Do your energy levels decrease as the day goes on? Are you feeling depleted by the afternoon? Maybe you're sitting at your desk daydreaming of your next holiday and unable to focus on your work? Perhaps you even promise yourself that the next day you'll do better but things don't change.
This is how 60% of people in the workforce are feeling (according to Gallup's research) and it's a dreadful way to feel. It's scary and lonely when you are depleted and exhausted, because even though lots of other people are feeling the same way, we don't talk about it. Everyone is suffering alone. This is what we do best, so call us now to book a free online conversation where we can really understand what you are experiencing and find how best we can help you. You don't have to remain in a state of exhaustion or depletion, there is help at hand.
1. Adjust Your Breathing
Take a deep breath. Breathe in through your nose and fill your belly with air. Sigh the breath out and let go all your negative thoughts as you do. Repeat this 10 times.
2. Adjust Your Inner Talk
Talk to yourself inside your head with kindness and gentleness. Encourage yourself and support yourself. This may sound crazy, but the voice in your head is not the voice of truth, it's just a part of your psyche which is trying to help you. The problem is it's not helping at all. Tell it to back off and replace it with something kinder. You will be surprised how this will transform your day. It's exhausting to be criticised all the time.
3. Adjust Your Immediate Environment
Go for a walk. Just walk to clear your head and let go. It doesn't have to be far, just allow yourself to walk and loosen your body, breathe and relax.
These may sound simple but they are powerful ways on how to quickly readjust your energy levels during the day at work.
